FORESTRY FIRST AID TRAINING
+ Forestry (FAW+F, FAWR+F or EFAW+F)
Standard First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work Re-qualification, or Emergency First Aid at Work courses should include extra content suitable for forestry contractors and workers (+ Forestry) working on Forestry Commission land and contracts.
The Forestry Commission requires that the content below should be included:
• Hypothermia
• Lyme Disease and Tick removal
• Major blood loss treatment
• Crush Injury
• Emergency action plan for forestry and remote settings
Other specific areas of First Aid can be include upon request like examples of insulate and protection from cold weather in remote places.
The cost for adding Forestry on to the First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work courses is an extra £25.00+VAT per person.
